We didn’t write this article for today’s trends. We wrote it to support a simple but powerful idea: that everyone should have equal access to learning. This belief became even more important during the pandemic.

The rapid pace of technology and the rise of smartphones have placed visual tools in all our pockets. In the past, learning meant going to school, having a teacher, and sitting in a classroom.
But learning tools have changed. First came television, then media, tablets, and social networks. Even if only at the level of reading and writing messages, these tools have become part of our daily lives.
Some of us started following diet tips, others the news, and many began tracking friends and trends. Young and old alike—we’ve embraced this digital rhythm. We love having our favorite music or movies instantly at our fingertips.
Learning is now EVERYWHERE, ANYTIME, and DEPENDENT ON YOU.
At FDE R&D, while Quality and Food Safety are being discussed more than ever, we’ve worked to bring the standards behind these topics directly to your phone, tablet, or TV. Our goal is to make learning accessible. One of the biggest advantages of our courses is lifetime access once purchased.
In today’s world—between busy workdays, traffic, airport waits, weekends, and downtime—we often fill our time with books, shows, or hobbies. Online courses offer a way to turn these scattered moments into valuable learning opportunities.
Did we buy the online training and finish it?
Not exactly.
The most common question we receive is: “Is the certificate valid?”
Yes—those who complete the course and pass the exams receive a certificate from an FDE R&D instructor. However, a certificate alone does not guarantee that someone has fully learned the subject or can apply it in real life. Even though some of our courses include exercises, case studies, and assignments, true understanding is only proven through performance on the job. This is equally true for in-person training.
Online courses can never fully replace the interaction and engagement of in-person learning. In face-to-face sessions, the instructor can encourage participation and adapt to the learner’s needs. This is much harder to achieve online.
Still, many universities in Türkiye and around the world offer online programs. These often include exams held at official centers to evaluate learning outcomes. The courses we publish are designed primarily for awareness and competence-building. We do not conduct formal assessments.
In many organizations, coordinating in-person training takes time and disrupts daily operations. Raising every employee’s awareness to the same level through traditional training is difficult and costly. This is where online courses become a powerful tool: they’re more accessible, more affordable, and support both personal and professional development.
No matter the format, the most important element in any course is the instructor’s expertise, competence, and ability to communicate effectively.
If you believe that learning is essential—even in the middle of a busy life—we look forward to seeing you in our courses.
